VBS Next Steps
Many followers of Christ make their decision to trust Him during childhood. At BSFBC, we want to partner with parents as they help their children understand and respond to the gospel.
If your child has questions about salvation or baptism, we would love to walk alongside your family and help them take their next step of faith.
Below are a few ways you can help your child explore salvation, baptism, and what it means to follow Jesus.
-
Salvation
Salvation is the most important decision your child will ever make, and we want to help you have those conversations with clarity, care, and confidence.
If your child is asking questions about Jesus, sin, forgiveness, heaven, or what it means to be saved, that is a beautiful opportunity to slow down and talk with them about the gospel. We encourage parents to begin by asking simple questions, listening carefully, and helping their child understand that salvation is not just about saying a prayer, but about trusting Jesus as Savior and Lord.
A great place to start is by talking through these truths with your child:
God loves us.
God created us, knows us, and loves us deeply. We have sinned.
Sin is anything we think, say, or do that goes against God, and sin separates us from Him.Jesus saves us.
Jesus died on the cross for our sin and rose again so that we can be forgiven and have new life.We respond by faith.
Salvation comes when we turn from sin and trust Jesus to save us.If your child is ready to talk more about salvation, we would love to come alongside your family. You can reach out to our Kids Ministry team, talk with a pastor, or schedule a conversation so we can help your child understand and respond to the gospel below.

Baptism
Baptism is an important step of obedience for every follower of Jesus. It is a public way of showing that a person has trusted Christ for salvation and now belongs to Him.
If your child has made a decision to follow Jesus and is asking about baptism, we would love to help your family take that next step with confidence. Baptism does not save us, but it is a beautiful picture of the gospel: Jesus died, was buried, and rose again so that we can have new life in Him.
Before a child is baptized, we want to make sure they understand what baptism means and why they are choosing to be baptized. Our Kids Ministry team would love to meet with your family, talk through your child’s story, answer questions, and help determine if baptism is the right next step.
If your child is ready to talk more about baptism, we would love to walk alongside you.
Elementary Ministry
Our goal in the Elementary Ministry is to nurture personal faith in Jesus. We offer two Sunday experiences. During the 9:30a service we have a large group worship session where kids worship, pray, hear a lesson, and participate in a small group activity. The 11a service is a Sunday school class hour where kids split into age-specific groups with teachers to explore the same lesson in greater depth.
We are so excited to have your family join us!
Sunday | 9:30a & 11:00a
Wednesday | 6:00p ages 3 & up
